MKP IT Development Information & Status Website
Welcome! This site will be where you can learn about the status and ongoing progress of IT Development efforts within the information systems of The ManKind Project USA. I’m Keith Jarvis, and I’m your co-host, along with new IT Director John Bacon, and I sincerely desire that you will be able to find out everything you want to know and more right here on these pages. If not, please ask us and we’ll build it! Better yet, offer to help collecting FAQ material on the topic you want to know about, for us to share with others!
On this site, we’ll cover our current systems and our future plans, as well as the projects that we are working on right now behind the scenes, so that you can get an idea of our continuous efforts to make the work that we do simpler, easier, and more efficient. Why, you ask? So that we can free up the amazing human resources in our volunteer-driven organization to focus on why we’re here: Men Helping Men Grow!
You can participate, by adding your skills and expertise to our working teams or discussion groups – or perhaps by simply sharing with your local IT webmaster or man-on-point what you’d like to see improved and how. He can then exchange that information with others – via development email lists like ‘mkp-it-dev-talk’, ‘i18n-it-dev-team’ – or maintenance/support lists like ‘caa-users’, ‘listowners’, and ‘mkp-wordpress-admins’. All of these lists are of course available at our subscriber portal at http://mailman.mkp.org/.
Last, but not least, you can help our ongoing efforts by reporting bugs, errors, and broken links via the link in the bright green box to the right! You can also revisit where we’ve been, and how we got here, both in written and video format, on the DONE page in the navigation menu above.
And, don’t forget the motto: Less is More, Simpler is Better, Functionality is Paramount!
